What would you enjoy if he did not come?
Think about the friend you want to see, the music or the dinner. These give the evening a purpose beyond waiting for a glance across the room. A companion can join your plans; he cannot choose your ex’s feelings.
You may hope to make your ex jealous. You can also choose an evening that feels worthwhile regardless. Decide whom you want to spend time with and when you might like to leave.
Meet before walking in together
We can arrange to meet in a public place before the event. A conversation gives us time to feel comfortable and agree on introductions. A simple “this is Cristiano” can be enough, without inventing a long relationship.
Tell me whether you enjoy taking an arm, prefer some space or would like to dance. Attention to these details makes company feel personal. No gesture needs to become a performance for someone else.
Keep the evening yours
If you see your ex, you can say hello and return to your conversation. You do not owe a report on your life. Leave room for a walk, a break or an earlier departure if you feel like it.
Send me the city, date and type of event. We can discuss availability, duration and the full arrangements before confirming. Start with what you would enjoy, rather than a reaction you need someone else to have.
