A famous opera is not required to make the evening special. A comedy, concert or production you have wanted to see for months can be our starting point. Tell me what appeals to you and whether you enjoy discussing it beforehand. For a performance in another language, we can check the duration and available surtitles.
Make room before and after
Meeting at the entrance as the show is about to begin leaves little time to get acquainted. A drink nearby can help break the ice. Afterwards we might have agreed on dinner or simply time to talk about what we saw. We decide the duration first, without assuming that either person will extend the evening.
What to include in your first message
Send the city, date and performance, even if you have not bought tickets. Tell me whether you picture a drink, just the performance or dinner too.
